The Saracens Head at Little Brington offers some of the best food in Northamptonshire and won both Pub Restaurant of the Year and Young Chef of the Year in the Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards 2012. The restaurant serves locally produced food with beef raised on our farm featuring on the menu. (5 minutes walk)
Althorp-Coaching Inn Fox & Hounds A listed stone and thatch Coaching Inn dating back to the 16th century, our historic hostelry specialises in quality British food, Real Ales and Fine Wines. Situated in the picturesque village of Great Brington, why not pay us a visit and sample our traditional English hospitality surrounded by 16th century décor (15 minutes walk or 5 mins by car)
Althorp House is the ancestral home of the Spencer family and offers an impressive range of attractions. From a tour of the house to the literary festival, a picnic at an open air concert and the award winning Diana exhibition, Althorp offers a diverse range of attractions. (5 minutes by car)
Silverstone Circuit. Silverstone offers a variety of attractions from the major international events such as Formula 1 and MotoGP to individual rally experiences and track days. (30 minutes by car)
Whiton Mill the No.1 outdoor karting facility exciting and thrilling, the International Circuit is great for bothintermediate and advanced drivers. Feel the speed as you race round the track with the latest 390cc Sodi GT5 karts on one of the fastest circuits in the UK. A firm favourite with top British karting Championships, the International Circuit is also renowned with Europe’s top kart & racing drivers. For the ultimate competition, the latest Tag Heuer timing equipment shows each drivers race data. (2 miles away)
The MG Car Club is an International Club based in Abingdon, the spiritual home of MG.
Since formation in 1930 by John Thornley O.B.E., the Club has provided high quality support and backing to all its members. The Club Head Office, Kimber House on Cemetery Road, Abingdon, is sited on the edge of what was once the MG Car Company’s headquarters and factory. This is where Cecil Kimber (Club President from 1935-1945) and John Thornley (General Manager and subsequently Managing Director) successfully ran one of the world’s most well-known and well-respected car manufacturing companies. Warwick Castle is one of England's finest castles and provides an excellent day out. The castle has a large number of attractions aimed at children but also provides tours and exhibitions for adults. This is one of our favorite attractions and is really worth a visit. (50 minutes by car)
Heart of the Shires Shopping Village. A relaxed shopping environment in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside offering a wide range of shops set around a Victorian courtyard. (15 minutes by car)
The Gaydon Heritage Motor Centre is home to the world’s largest collection of British Cars; it boasts nearly 300 cars in its collection which span the classic, vintage and veteran eras and is a mecca for car enthusiasts. The Heritage Motor Centre is situated in Gaydon, Warwickshire, just off junction 12 of the M40. The building itself is a spectacular piece of architecture with an art deco design, and stands proudly in a beautifully landscaped setting of 65 acres, which rolls out onto the Warwickshire countryside.

London. Trains from Long Buckby arrive at Euston in London allowing easy connection to the tube system. Our cottages provide a convenient base for a day trip to London during your stay making a trip to the capital an easy day out.

Northampton Saints. If you are looking for a top class sporting fixture whilst staying with us Franklin's Gardens is the place to go. Playing in the top tier of English rugby and featuring heavily in Europe, the Saints are pushing hard for the Premiership title. We suggest booking tickets in advance. (30 minutes by car)
Towcester racecourse is set in beautiful parkland a short drive from our holiday cottages. Entrance to most meetings is free and the race days offer a great entertainment for all of the family. (20 minutes by car)
Stanford Hall is open on select days throughout the year and hosts a number of public events and car rallies through the summer season.
